Meet Liz
Liz Parker is an anomaly—her personality is a mix of midwestern grit raised on the plains of Iowa blended with international cosmopolitan sensibilities. A warm and friendly presence with a whip-sharp tongue ready to call you on your nonsense. She is ruthless yet discerning. Nonjudgmental while also confrontational. Glass ceiling-breaker yet not altogether feminist. Practical yet spiritually driven.
Throughout her 40-year career, she has existed as a sort of leadership chameleon, able to blend into any industry or professional environment and provide incredible, powerful value.
Liz has played many roles. She was the first female salesperson (of 300) for an Iowa machine tool and supply company. She took a job offer in a foreign country–an Asian country, no less–and became a regional sales training manager for the entire Asia Pacific region. She was a single mom living an expat lifestyle, during the global crisis that was the 9/11 terrorist attacks. She resigned from a job in Hong Kong and decided to start her own company. She has literally traveled around the world doing international leadership and development training.
Liz’s career has taken on multiple forms. She has had two instances where she nearly starved because the economy faltered or pipelines fell dry. But she has remained doggedly driven.
She has also found a niche helping female entrepreneurs, founders, and aspiring executives make their way. Liz noticed there is a marked difference in how these organizations run–their decision making processes seem to break the “traditional rules” in a way that is working quite well. Liz relishes the chance to co-create with them and lead differently in what truly is an ever-changing dynamic.
Ultimately, Liz’s passion is guiding executives and emerging leaders to realize their dreams and own their talents. It comes from deep within her soul. She does the work every day to bring light to others. It is spiritual: when it comes to five- and 10-year plans, she tells clients that what matters most is your soul satisfaction and truly defining “What you love”. Following your dreams, taking steps to achieve that, and staying committed; result in the “numbers” you anticipate.
